Ross Pearson-Francisco Trinaldo Lightweight Tussle Added to UFC Fight Night Boston Card

Ultimate Fighting Championship lightweight contender Ross Pearson will face the red-hot Francisco Trinaldo Jan. 17 at Boston’s TD Garden as part of the UFC Fight Night “Dillashaw vs. Cruz” card.

The news was first reported by The Sun Thursday morning.

The 31-year-old Pearson (18-9) last saw action in a barnburner against Paul Felder on Sept. 5 at UFC 191. Felder won a split decision in a fight that was well received by the fans for its fast pace.

Trinaldo (18-4) will enter the Octagon with four straight victories. The 37-year-old is coming off of a first-round knockout of Chad Laprise on Aug. 23.
