Rory MacDonald Shares Disappointment with Healing Progress on Busted Nose
Ultimate Fighting Championship welterweight contender Rory
MacDonald was on the losing end of a hellacious beating from
170-pound champion Robbie
Lawler in the co-main event of UFC
189 back on July 11. The bout, which also saw Lawler absorb an
ungodly amount of punishment, was heralded as one of the best
fights in the history of the UFC, but MacDonald paid a hefty price
for his bravery.
When “Ruthless” ended the war with a straight left to Rory’s nose a minute into the fifth, it was evident that “Red King” had suffered a shattered nose. The Canadian dropped as soon as the blow connected, allowing Lawler to retain his title. In the days following the brutal battle, MacDonald took to social media to allow the world to see his grotesquely beaten and swollen face.
MacDonald took to his official Instagram account Tuesday evening with a photo of the latest X-ray he received and expressed disappointment.
MacDonald has not returned attempts to contact him as of this writing.
