“I wanna say thanks to all my teammates,” Rodriguez told media after the victory. “They believe in me, they saw me as a kid with a lot of future. I just wanna thank them because I am here because of them so I’m really proud and happy with my team.”
Asked about his future plans, Rodriguez said he wants to continue racking up wins until he is crowned champion, which he believes is just a matter of time.
"I’m gonna win my next fight and my next fight and my next fight until I have the opportunity to become a champion," he said. "I know that I’m gonna be a champion at some point."
Rodriguez, who hasn’t lost since 2020, extended his winning streak to six with his victory over Bondar. The 24 year old has finished 12 of his 16 career triumphs inside the distance.
