Rizin FF Weigh-in Results: ‘Cro Cop’ & ‘King Mo’ Cleared to Fight

Surging Japanese mixed martial arts promotion Rizin Fighting Federation is back with another stacked New Year's Eve event and like before, it's as if Pride Fighting Championships was still around.

The Rizin 2016 Grand Prix will conclude this weekend with one show on Dec. 29 and the finale on the 31st. At Wednesday's weigh-ins for the first half of the massive event, all but one fighter made weight.

Main event fighters Mirko Filipovic and Muhammed Lawal highlighted the festivities and both were cleared to fight. "Cro Cop" came in officially at 233.6 pounds while "King Mo" weighed 213.8. The only fighter who failed to make weight was Kai Kara-France, who came in at 128, three pounds heavier than her strawweight foe Tatsumitsu Wanda, who checked in right 125. Kara-France was issued a yellow card for her mishap.
