Fabio Maldonado has a new, more available dance partner for UFC 186.

The Las Vegas-based promotion announced on Friday that Steve Bosse will replace Quinton Jackson and face Maldonado on the April 25 card. Earlier this week, the Burlington Country Superior Court of New Jersey granted Bellator MMA a preliminary injunction to prevent “Rampage” from fighting at UFC 186.

According to a UFC.com, Jackson and his team plan to appeal the court’s ruling, but with the event approximately two weeks away, the promotion had to “take action to ensure a suitable replacement was found to face Maldonado.”

A 33-year-old Montreal native, Bosse has compiled a 10-1 record since turning pro in 2007. The Tristar Gym representative owns notable wins against Houston Alexander, Marvin Eastman and Wes Sims and has finished all but one of his victims inside the distance. Bosse’s UFC debt will come following a nearly two-year layoff.

Maldonado enters the bout having won four of his last five in the Octagon, including a second-round TKO of Hans Stringer in his most recent appearance at UFC 179.

UFC 186 takes place at Bell Centre in Montreal and is headlined by a flyweight title clash between Demetrious Johnson and Kyoji Horiguchi.
