RFA Champion Devin Clark Faces Alex Nicholson at July 13 UFC Fight Night in Sioux Falls

Another Sioux Falls, S.D. native has been added to the UFC's summer trip to “The Best Little City in America,” and in this case, it means another Resurrection Fighting Alliance champion is UFC-bound, too.

Monday, Argus Leader reported that RFA light heavyweight champion Devin Clark will make his UFC debut against Alex Nicholson on the July 13 Fight Night bill, with both men moving down to 185 pounds. The event, which does not yet have an announced main event, takes place at the Denny Sanford Premier Center. The main card will air live on Fox Sports 1.

The 26-year-old “Brown Bear” is a perfect 6-0 as a professional. His last win came on April 15 at RFA 37, where he took the vacant RFA strap by defeating Brazilian Rafael Viana, who bowed out due to a hand injury after the second round. Florida's Nicholson made his first Octagon appearance on the Stephen Thompson-Johny Hendricks undercard in Las Vegas, where he was submitted and had his jaw popped by Misha Cirkunov's vicious face crank.

Clark-Nicholson is the fifth bout made official for the July 13 card, joining Josh Samman-Tim Boetsch at middleweight, Kyle Noke-Keita Nakamura at 170 pounds, a lightweight contest between Cody Pfister and Scott Holtzman and a dynamic pairing of another Sioux Falls native, Ben Nguyen, and Hawaii's Louis Smolka.
