A key light heavyweight bout has been added to UFC on Fox 14, as Phil Davis will take on Ryan Bader in Stockholm on Jan. 24.
Promotion officials announced the contest on Friday. UFC on Fox 14 takes place at the Tele2Arena in Sweden and is headlined by a No. 1 contender bout at 205 pounds between Alexander Gustafsson and Anthony Johnson. The evening’s main card airs on Fox and will also include a middleweight matchup between Dan Henderson and Gegard Mousasi.
Davis rebounded from a lopsided loss to Johnson at UFC 172 to outpoint former title challenger Glover Teixeira at UFC 179 on Oct. 25. The Alliance MMA member is 9-2 in the Octagon overall, including notable triumphs against Lyoto Machida, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, Gustafsson and Brian Stann.
Bader, meanwhile, has posted three straight victories, besting Anthony Perosh, Rafael Cavalcante and Ovince St. Preux in succession. The Power MMA Team representative is 11-4 within the Las Vegas-based promotion.
