“Batman” has a new home.

Kurt Pellegrino will make his Bellator Fighting Championships debut Nov. 26 against Patricky Freire at Bellator 59. The UFC veteran made the announcement during the Bellator SpikeTV.com preliminary stream Saturday. Bellator 59 will emanate from Caesar's Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, N.J.

Pellegrino returns from a brief leave of absence, as the lightweight elected not to renew his UFC contract in May. Prior to taking his break, the 32-year-old had lost back-to-back contests to George Sotiropoulos and Gleison Tibau at UFC 116 and 128, respectively. Prior to those losses, the New Jersey native had won four consecutive Octagon contests, besting Thiago Tavares, Rob Emerson, Josh Neer and Fabricio Camoes in succession.

The elder of the “Pitbull” brothers, Freire has won five of his last six contests. The muscular Brazilian joined Bellator in March, knocking out Rob McCullough and Toby Imada en route to a finals berth in the promotion's fourth-season lightweight tournament. Freire would falter in the final against Michael Chandler, however, losing a unanimous decision to the Xtreme Couture MMA representative at Bellator 44 in May.
