The California-based promotion recently announced that the Bellator 163 main card will see Paul Daley will face Derek Anderson at welterweight and Sergei Kharitonov lock horns with Javy Ayala at heavyweight at the upcoming event. Bellator 163 takes place at Mohegan Sun Arena and is headlined by a light heavyweight title tilt between Liam McGeary and Phil Davis. The main card airs on Spike TV at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT, while the preliminary draw streams immediately prior on Bellator.com and the Bellator Mobile App.

Daley saw a five-fight winning streak come to an end at Bellator 158 on June 16, when he dropped a three-round verdict to ex-welterweight king Douglas Lima. The 33-year-old Englishman had been victorious in his first four promotional appearances.

Anderson enters the matchup on the strength of back-to-back victories. The San Diego native garnered a split-decision triumph over Patricky Freire at Bellator 147 before earning a unanimous verdict against Saad Awad at Bellator 160 to improve his overall promotional mark to 5-2.

Kharitonov will make his Bellator debut on a five-bout winning streak. The Strikeforce, K-1 and Pride Fighting Championships veteran last competed at M-1 Challenge in June 2015, earning a first-round TKO win over Kenny Garner.

Ayala is 4-2 during his Bellator tenure. In his last outing he halted a two-fight skid with a first-round stoppage of Roy Boughton at Bellator 156 on June 17.
