“I had a great time making this song with [music producer] Sledgren because it allowed me to create something that will be a big part of the PFL with my MMA family,” Khalifa said in the release. “I can’t wait to perform it at the Championship next week.”
This is not the first Khalifa song that the PFL has utilized, as this season each event opened with his track “We Own It.” This arrangement is part of Khalifa’s partnership with the PFL, in which he became a part owner of the promotion at the beginning of 2021. Khalifa currently serves as the music and content adviser for the company, and he also has a merchandise arrangement underway.
The 2021 PFL Championships will take place on Oct. 27 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Fla. All six divisions will have tournament championships on the line, in the featherweight, lightweight, women’s lightweight, welterweight, light heavyweight and heavyweight categories. The headliner sees Kayla Harrison attempt to remain unbeaten and win another season when she takes on 3-1 upstart Taylor Guardado in the lone women's title fight at lightweight. The co-main event brings a much-anticipated rematch at 170 pounds for the gold, when Magomed Magomedkerimov faces Ray Cooper III for the second time.
