Orlando Sentinel first reported the pairing on Wednesday. St.
Preux and Latifi were originally supposed to meet at UFC on Fox 27
in Charlotte, N.C., on Jan. 27, but the bout had to be rescheduled
due to a Latifi injury. St. Preux had initially offered to fight at
heavyweight in order to remain on the UFC on Fox 27 card.
UFC on Fox 28 takes place at the Amway Center in Orlando on Feb. 24
and will feature a pivotal strawweight battle between Tecia
Torres and Jessica
Andrade. The Sentinel also reported that a bantamweight contest
between Rani Yahya
Doane has been confirmed for the card. A headliner has not been
St. Preux has been victorious in his last three Octagon
appearances, including a third-round knockout of Corey
Anderson at UFC 217 this past November. Latifi, meanwhile, has
won four of his last five outings with the Las Vegas-based
promotion, most recently besting Tyson Pedro
via unanimous decision at UFC 215.
