Ali Yaakub vs. Jianbing Yang

Round 1

Yakuub starts the bout with in an open-handed orthodox stance against the southpaw Yang, probing the distance with low kicks. At the one-minute mark, Yang ducks under a jab, elevates Yakuub and slams him into the mat, settling into half guard on top. Yakuub regains full guard as Yang tries to pass, but the Chinese fighter stays heavy on top and continues to pressure the guard pass while landing short left hands. Yang moves his left leg over Yakuub's arm and moves into a top crucifix. Yakuub tries to wriggle out the backdoor, but Yang rips him with sharp elbows to the ribs. Yang moves into full mount with 1:40 left on the clock, pounding away with both hands. “Captain Malaysia” throws his legs up and tries to hit the TK scissors, but can't get there. Yang starts unloading with hammerfists, which allows Yakuub to finally hit the TK scissors and get him off, but Yang back sits up and keeps pounding. Yang goes for a sloppy armbar to end the round.

Round 2

Yakuub throws his leg kick again and Yang tackles him to the mat, easily moving into north-south position, then full mount. Yakuub tries to sit up and Yang again rolls back for an armbar, as he did at the end of the first round. This time, Yang actually locks his legs over Yakuub's face and isolates the arm properly. Yakuub tries to yank his arm out from his feet, but he's caught deep and forced to tap out.

Benedict Ang vs. Waqar Umar

Round 1

Umar and Ang begin exchanging leg kicks, which quickly escalates into punches as Ang tries to gun a right hand down the center. Ang slips while kicking and Umar dives on him and into his guard. Ang throws up an armbar, Umar passes under and gets to side for a moment, but Ang hops back up, holding Umar's leg, elevates and slams him. Ang on top now in quarter guard, trying to sneak his foot out and into side control. Umar tries to upkick him away, but Ang punches from Ali-Inoki position and settles back into guard. Umar grabs Ang's Achilles' tendon and tries to trip him up, but can't. Ang steps away and allows Umar to get his feet. When he does, Ang lands a quick flurry of punches and easily gets another takedown. Umar continues to try for wrist control from the bottom, but eats punches and elbows for his efforts. Umar keeps trying, but Ang keeps defending and chipping away until the round ends.

Round 2

Umar attacks with hooks and kicks in the second round's opening moments. Ang circles out, then charges Umar with a hard knee to the liver and pins him to the fence. From the clinch, Ang manufactures another easy takedown and gets right back to ground-and-pounding from full guard. Umar manages to get a bit of separation and tries to spin for a leglock again, but Ang shuts it down and re-establishes himself on top. Umar manages to kick Ang away again and regain his feet and Ang indulges him this time. Umar lands a body kick and Ang looks to respond with one of his own, but his kick strays low and audibly cracks Umar square on the cup. Referee Olivier Coste calls for time and pauses the bout, Umar regains his feet, shakes the foul off and we're ready to fight again. Kicks continue to fly on the restart, as Ang targets the legs, then tries to go upstairs on his Pakistani opponent. Umar glances with a pair of hooks. Ang tries for a step-in elbow, but goes over Umar's head. His next attack, he throws a chopping right instead and it lands, rocking Umar back to his heels and giving Ang easy passage for another level change and takedown along the cage. Umar isn't inactive, but he's still purely defensive as Ang punches away until the bell.

Round 3

Ang stalks Umar, neither man landing clean with their punches or kicks. The Singapore native gets Umar to the cage and drives for a takedown, but Umar briefly gets his neck and tries to jump a guillotine. Ang defends it and remains in the clinch. Short hooks and uppercuts from both men land, but to little effect. They separate from the fence and Ang again runs Umar down, but walks into a hard left hand. The left doesn't deter Ang, who runs Umar right back into the fence, holding him there until Olivier Coste breaks them up with just over two minutes to fight. Umar uncoils a spinning back kick which misses. Ang lands a hard low kick, Umar tags him with another left. Ang closes on Umar and lands a head kick, but Umar catches it and puts Ang on the floor. Ang quickly locks a triangle up, but it's high on Umar's head and he squirts out. One minute left and Umar is looming above Ang in Ali-Inoki position. He realizes he likely needs a knockout to win, so he lets Ang take his feet. Ang moves forward, ducks under three Umar punches and slams his opponent again. Stephen Langdown vs. A La Teng Hei

Round 1

Alateng stalks the taller Langdown, who sticks his jab out and looks to counter. Alateng shoots at the one-minute mark and Langdown stuffs it, but Alateng comes up into the clinch, gets double underhooks and ragdolls his man into side control. Langdown tries to escape out of the backdoor, but Alateng gets a rear waistlock and tries to take his back. Langdown gets to his feet, gets slammed, gets back to his feet again and gets slammed gain. This time, Alateng gets both hooks in, sinks the rear-naked choke and turns his man over. Langdown tucks his chin and fends the choke off, but he's still in deep trouble with two minutes to go in the first round. Alateng tries to raise his back mount, but Langdown shakes him off and retakes his feet. Clean one-two lands for Alateng. Langdown steps into a jab and Alateng gets under his hips, elevates and slams him once more, ending the round in side control.

Round 2

Alateng lands a right hand, then rushes forward, moving Langdown back to the fence. Langdown is hurt and now Alateng is opening up. Referee Joey Lepiten warns him to not hit the back of the turtled Langdown's head, so Alateng wracks him with hammerfists and punches to the ears. Langdown gets back to his feet, but the Chinese fighters is all over him with punches. Langdown covers up again and Alateng opens up with soccer kicks. Langdown is in critical condition now, rolling around trying to cover his melon. Joey Lepiten jumps into action and rescues Langdown, giving Alateng the knockout win.

Angela Lee vs. Aya Saeid Saber

Round 1

Both women open up guns blazing, but Lee's technique is cleaner and truer, allowing her to rock Saber with a few right hands. Lee moves into the clinch, grabs a headlock and throws her way into side mount. The 18-year-old Singaporean takes Saber's and starts pounding away with both hands, but Saber escapes and Lee settles for side mount for a moment. Lee is still dedicated to get back to full mount. Lee keeps threatening the pass, but settles for knee-on-belly, where she unloads a heavy battery of blows that allow her to pass to the far side and lock up an armbar. She takes a moment to adjust the elbow over her thigh and pin it down, but as soon as she does, the Egyptian is forced to tap out.

Amir Khan vs. Shannon Wiratchai

Round 1

Khan looks to attack with kicks, but Wiratchai backs up out of range of his leg kicks each time. Wiratchai sits down and tries to fire two punches off of a Khan kick but can't land. They stand in front of one another and trade kicks. A Khan body kick looks to touch Wiratchai low, but when referee Joey Lepiten tries to step in, Wiratchai shrugs it off and prefers to keep fighting. Khan remains active with his kicks, but Wiratchai begins to land harder ones of his own to the back of the lead knee. Khan throws a right body kick which Wiratchai catches, but the rangy Khan keeps punching while keeping his balance, keeping Wiratchai from countering with anything signifanct. The Thai fighter puts Khan into cage briefly before disengaging. Wiratchai loads up a big left cross, hoping to land it on a kicking Khan, but just glances. Khan comes into the clinch and just dodges a chopping elbow from Wiratchai. Both fighters exchange elbows in close, but a hard right forearm from Khan drops Wiratchai to a knee for a brief second. They jostle from over-unders position for a moment with no offense coming of it. They separate and Khan lands a right round kick to the ribs.Wiratchai lands a front kick to the ribs, then two wide-casting left hands before the bell.

Round 2

It's Wiratchai with the forward pressure, but Khan continues to kick to keep him at bay. Khan sneaks a sharp right hand in that makes Wiratchai grin. “OneShin” keeps walking through Khan's offense, pressing him to the fence again with over-unders. Khan gets a hold of his neck and lands a hard knee to break the clinch. The southpaw Wiratchai uses his lead right hand to catch and disrupt Khan's jab but he can't land any counters.Wiratchai ducks an overhand right from Khan and glances with a spinning back elbow in a glimpse of beautiful technique. Wiratchai tries the exact same clever spin a moment later, but Khan sees it coming and clinches up. Khan has a right body kick caught again and Wiratchai rams him with a left hand. Another Khan kick is caught and Wiratchai glances with a left, then kicks his plant leg. Khan chases Wiratchai all the way across the cage with wide hooks, all of which the Thai ducks and dodges. Khan runs into the clinch and grabs Wiratchai's waist. The Thai tries to dig for underhooks but whiffs completely, ending up ragdolled to the canvas. Khan moves to scarf control and tries to look for scarf hold armlock, but Wiratchai slides up the fence to his feet.

Round 3

A clean right cross from Khan starts the final round. Wiratchai backs him up to the cage again and Khan runs into the clinch as a defensive measure. Khan controls Wiratchai's left wrist and holds him there until referee Joey Lepiten breaks them up. A Khan head kick is blocked, but he lands a volley of short uppercuts behind it. Evolve MMA's Khan runs the Thai into the fence again and looks for a single-leg takedown, but it goes nowhere quickly and they wind up in the clinch until Wiratchai exits with a right hand. Glancing hooks land for Wiratchai, then he avoids another Khan clinch attempt. Khan throws a slow right hand and gets countered with a clean left from Wiratchai. Khan launches a head kick that whizzes wide and Wiratchai shakes his head at his foe. Sloppy shot attempt by Khan puts Wiratchai back on the fence, but the Thai turns him around and knees to the body. Left elbow lands for Wiratchai, so Khan turns him around and lands a knee to the body. Khan gets to the waist and desperately pulls Wiratchai to the ground with under a minute to go in the fight. Khan robotically throws right hands at Wiratchai's head, mechanically chopping away from half guard and keeping his activity up until the final bell sounds. Eddie Ng vs. Ariel Sexton

Round 1

Both men flick tense jabs across the distance before trying to find head kicks. Sexton sneaks a right hand in, but Ng fires another roundhouse upstairs that rings the Costa Rican's bell. Sexton rushes for a takedown and Ng jumps a guillotine. Sexton pops his head out, so Ng shrimps away and gets back to his feet. Sexton stays glued to his waist, trying to trip him to the mat with deep over-unders. Ng gets double underhooks and turns Sexton around into the cage. Ng lands a body knee and a right hand. Two more hard knees to the body for the Hong Kang native land before they come off of the fence. Ng is more confident now, throwing long crosses with both hands. Sexton turns southpaw and sneaks a left hand in, then goes otrthodox and cracks a rushing Ng with a nice uppercut. Ng rushes Sexton and gives up an easy level change and double-leg takedown in the middle of the cage. Sexton picks his man up with his guard closed and jockeys him back to the cage. Ng uses the opportunity to scramble back to his feet. Sexton gives chase but runs into a jab. The Costa Rican continues to pressure with his hands down and yet again lands a sneaky, clean cross. Sexton pins Ng's left arm inside of a waistlock and tackles him to the mat. He gets to mount in a heartbeat and locks on a deft topside triangle. Fantastic technique from Sexton, unfortunately, the round ends there before he can attempt to get the finish.

Round 2

Sexton gauges the distance with flicker jabs and teeps as he approaches Ng. Sexton uncorks a right-handed helicopter just glances Ng's jaw and it allows him to transition into another takedown. Sexton hops right back into full mount, where he ended round one, then takes the back along the cage. Ng has nowhere to go as Sexton sinks the choke and squeezes. This one is a wrap.

Lowen Tynanes vs. Kuat Khamitov

Round 1

Slow opening minute at Tynanes walks Khamitov down with feints. Tynanes lands a glancing right, Khamitov shoots and the Hawaiian sprawls nicely, then separates. Khamitov looks to want no part of Tynanes on the feet, backing up and circling away steadily for the first two minutes. Tynanes swings a right hook, Khamitov looks for a low single and is again rebuffed. Tynanes throws a low kick that glances low, but no full break is needed for Khamitov who fights on. Tynanes lands a right hand and tries to follow up on a retreating Khamitov, but walks into a double-leg attempt. The Kazakh fighter finally gets Tynanes down, but it's ever-so-brief, with Tynanes popping right up along the fence and gaining control in the clinch, landing short uppercuts and knees to the body. They separate and Tynanes keeps walking Khamitov down. Another right hand lands, another Khamitov takedown stuffed and Tynanes lands a knee to the body to boot.

Round 2

Tynanes spears Khamitov with a right straight to the stomach, then shoots a successful takedown of his own, quickly snaking over Khamitov's legs and creeping into full mount. Khamitov bucks, rolls and escapes, but eats more punches and a soccer kick from the Hawaiian on the way up. Another right hand for Tynanes, who is suddenly attacks with a high volume of inside and outside leg kicks, chopping up the Kazakh fighter's legs. Tynanes shoots another double and Khamitov brilliantly shoots underneath of Tynanes' shot, nearly taking him down, then switching to a rear waistlock. Great wrestling sequence. Khamitov tries an outer forward trip from behind, but Tynanes shows great balance, then crossfaces his opponent off of him at the halfway mark of the fight. Tynanes throws a stepping knee and Khamitov tries for a single off of it, but again, Tynanes' takedown defense is just too good. Khamitov throws a jab from the outside as he backs away, but Tynanes shoots another powerful double and gets his man down. Khamitov holds onto a guillotine, but Tynanes pops his head out and gets to work from half guard. Khamitov gets to his knees, turtles, then slides up the fence under punches from Tynanes. When he gets to his feet, he tries to jump a guillotine to no avail. Tynanes punishes him from above until the bell.

Round 3

Tynanes remains the aggressor, stalking with punches. Khamitov, perhaps sensing he's behind, comes forward on his own, winging with both hands but not breaking Tynanes' guard. Khamitov unloads a wild, winging flurry and Tynanes tries to take him to the mat while he flails around. Khamitov rolls through and goes for a kneebar, but Tynanes sits out of it and pounds the turtled Kazakh fighter. Khamitov gets to his feet and takes a deep breath, but as he does so, Tynanes locks his hands and dumps him on the canvas. Tynanes looks for the pass while landing left hands and elbows. Khamitov tries to turn and snake up the fence, so Tynanes controls him with a half nelson, knees him, then dumps him again when Khamitov gets to his feet. The unbeaten Tynanes continues to pressure with 90 seconds left, passing to side control and looking for full mount. Khamitov again spins and comes out the back door, but winds up turtled andTynanes takes his back and sinks both hooks with a minute to go. Short right hands for Tynanes land as he gift wraps Khamitov with his own right arm. Khamitov explodes out and gets to his feet before the bell, but it's nothing but a moral victory. Ev Ting vs. Marat Gafurov

Round 1

Gafurov is on the offensive to begin, attacking with crosses and head kicks which Ting ably blocks. Ting loads up on a right hand, but when he launches it, Gafurov kicks him in the exposed ribs. Gafurov corners his man against the fence, shoots in and dumps him to the mat. Gafurov hammerfists and elbows Ting's ribs from half guard, but the Malaysian replaces guard. Gafurov continues trying to pass side-to-side, showing heavy top pressure and throwing hammerfists along the way. Back in half guard now, it's more rib-roasting from the Dagestani with punches and elbows to the midsection of Ting. Ting goes belly down to escape and Gafurov steps over into full mount. Ting turns and bucks “Cobra” off of him, but Gafurov gets up and slams him right back down to the mat, claiming side control and looking for another pass to full mount. Gafurov gets it, then takes the back and locks in a body triangle with just under a minute to go in the first round. Ting rolls, Gafurov sinks his choking arm, grabs his own wrist and cinches it up. Ting struggles briefly, but it's elementary from here.

One Championship Strawweight Title Fight:
Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke vs. Roy Doliguez

Round 1

This fight will determine the inaugural One Championship strawweight champion. Doliguez quickly shoots a single on the three-time Lumpinee Stadium champion and gets him down but only briefly, as Dejdamrong quickly scrambles to his feet when Doliguez goes to north-south. Knee to the body lands for Dejramrong. Doliguez shoots in again and Dejdamrong shows fantastic balance, sitting out on his leg, then passing into full mount for a moment. Dejdamrong lands some ground-and-pound as Doliguez shrimps out and stays glued to his foe's leg. Doliguez goes over the top, looking for a kneebar as he goes belly-down. Dejdamrong continues defending the leglock while landing punches, then gets head-and-arm control on Doliguez, and forces his way into top control. Fun scrambles so far. Dejdamrong chips away with punches from full guard. Doliguez tries to sneak his guard higher and higher for a submission, but Dejdamrong tripods up, drives his head into Doliguez's chest, then gets back to punching away. Doliguez is now cut open on the outside of his left eye.

Round 2

Doliguez throws the left hand, shoots underneath it and puts Dejdamrong on his back. The muay Thai standout closesh is guard, overhooks Doliguez's arms and tries to stall him out. Doliguez breaks Dejdamrong's posture and gets some head control, but can't land much ground-and-pound or sniff a guard pass. Referee Joey Lepiten stands them up and unsurpisingly, Doliguez shoots off the restart. Dejdamrong defends, then lunges with a knee to the body. Doliguez clinches and eats two more hard knees to the bread basket while driving for a takedown. Doliguez gets him down, but not for long as Dejdamrong snakes up the fence, elbows Doliguez to the body, then flips him over right into full mount with two minutes to go. The Thai fighter keeps his base low, but it doesn't stop the flexible Doliguez from using the TK scissors to escape and scramble to his feet. Hard right kick to hits Doliguez's elbow. He shoots a takedown, it's stuffed and Dejdamrong rips him with a head kick and a stream of punches. Doliguez starting to take real damage from Dejdamnrong as the second round ticks down. Doliguez drives for another single and puts Dejdamrong on the mat, but can't move into a dominant position before the bell.

Round 3

Both men willing to exchange punches freely in the early third, but it's Dejdamrong who lands better. The southpaw Doliguez looks recovered after taking punishment late in the last round. Dejdamnrong quickly closes the distance between the two with a clean head kick, and a left hook behind it. Right body kick by Dejdamrong, then a hard right hook. Doliguez lands a big right hook, but it doesn't even seem to faze Dejdamrong, who walks through it and lands two more hard knees to the body, then opens up with the right hand. All of a sudden, Doliguez's left eye is bloody again and he's on the defense, as Dejdamrong moves into the clinch, blasts him with knees, forces him to shoot, then plows him with a soccer kick. Doliguez desperately scrambles to his feet and shoots, but once more, the Thai fighter boogies into full mount, rains down some punishment and forces Doliguez to scramble away. Rather than taking his feet, Dejdamrong sets up on top, pounding and looks to pass. Doliguez gets full guard back, but it's all defense for the Filipino now. Joey Lepiten stands the two up with a minute to go in the round for no particular reason and it's more of the same: Doliguez shoots, Dejdamrong gets an underhook and bumps him into full mount. Doliguez gets his legs up and scissors Dejdamnrong off of him, but eats upkicks in the process.

Round 4

Doliguez advances on Dejdamrong and quickly unloads a series of hooks to the body. Dejdamrong tries to push Doliguez away, but throws his left hand out and pokes his opponent in the eye, prompting a halt in the action and a doctor visit for Doliguez. Doliguez takes the five full minutes that One Championship affords him before continuing and on the restart, he winds up getting taken down by Dejdamrong. The two get absolutely no time to work on the ground before Joey Lepiten pathetically stands them up again. Doliguez feints, then steps in with a left hand, but Dejdamnrong misaims a low kick on the advancing fighter and cracks him in the cup, prompting another halt in the action. This one, fortunately, doesn't take the full five minutes. They resume and Dejdamrong gets busy with stepping and flying knees to the body on Doliguez. Dejdamnrong feints and steps into a head kick, but Doliguez catches it after the strikes bounces into his head, runs Dejdamrong into the ground and gets top control. He moves to north-south position and lands knees to the head. The Filipino fighter holds the position and punches Dejdamrong to the ribs and looks for more knees. Dejdamrong locks his arms around the neck of Doliguez, simply trying to stop him from doing anything. As you might expect at this point, Joey Lepiten stands them up despite their activity. Dejdamrong keeps lobbing body kicks while Doliguez throws low kicks and inaccurate punches. They come together and clinch, allowing Dejdamrong to land some more knees to the body before the round expires.

Round 5

Right cross lands for Dejdamrong, and a left cross lands for Doliguez a split second later. Dejdamrong stalks slowly, intermittently ripping Doliguez with a right kicks to the body. Doliguez swipes to the body as the Thai approaches, but Dejdamrong then throws a right roundhouse kick upstairs that rocks Doliguez, forcing him to circle away. Flying head kick by Dejdamrong glances its target. A flying knee from the Thai. Dejdamrong continues to pressure with 90 seconds and lands an elbow coming into the clinch. Doliguez circles away, touches his forehead and makes the “T” sign with his hands, as if he's suggesting he was headbutted. The action halts as he kneels down. Referee Joey Lepiten doesn't actually call a foul, simply waves his hands and the fight appears to be over. After moments of confusion, it is announced that the bout is moving to the scorecards for a technical decision. Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke is announced the winner via technical unanimous decision, making him the first One Championship strawweight champion.

Round 1

Aoki immediately looks for a quick double, but Ando sees it coming and shoves him away. Aoki edges toward Ando, ducks under and runs him into the fence, pushing for a double. Aoki switches to a single and gets denied, but he keeps working it and eventually sucks Ando's legs out from under him. Slowly, Aoki works himself over Ando's legs and tries to creep into mount, but Ando shrimps away and claims half guard. Ando overhooks Aoki's left arm, so Aoki elbows him with the right. Ando gets guard back, but Aoki consistently pesters him with punches and looks to pass. Ando tries to sneak up the fence, but eats elbows in the process before the bell.

Round 2

Ando sticks his jab out, cautiously inching closer to Aoki. At the one-minute mark, Aoki lobs a right head kick that smacks Ando in the ear. Aoki lands another right kick to the body, then Ando pops him with a jab. Aoki continues to use right kicks to the body to ward Ando off. Ando begins popping his jab more often, and the challenger draws some blood from Aoki's nose. Referee Olivier Coste calls for action as the men flick jabs and kicks at one another from distance without much urgency. Aoki slips a few of Ando's jabs and smiles, as if impressed with his own defensive handiwork. It's more of the same tepid pace until the end.

Round 3

Aoki immediately looks for a quick double, but Ando sees it coming and shoves him away. Aoki edges toward Ando, ducks under and runs him into the fence, pushing for a double. Aoki methodically tries to pass from half guard while Ando wraps him up and tries thwart his pass. Aoki tries to float over Ando's right knee and into full mount and after some midair wrangling, plops right into position. Outstanding guard pass by Aoki, now in mount with over two minutes to go in the round. Aoki moves into a high mount and Ando tries to roll, but fails. Aoki controls Ando's wrist and lands elbows. The former Shooto and Dream champion takes his time, cutting Ando's face up with short elbows, holding a dominant mount and waiting for his challenger to make a mistake. Aoki continues pinning Ando's wrists, then quickly slides into a high mount and rolls into spider web position for an armbar. Aoki is up against the clock, trying to break Ando's grip as the last 20 seconds tick down. As he hears the 10-second clapper, Aoki stops pressuring it, casually hammerfisting and elbowing Ando's face, smashing his nose up.

Round 4

Ando sticks the right jab out and as soon as he does, Aoki runs him into the fence and completes a single. Aoki again passes right over Ando's knees and straight into full mount with with just under four minutes on the clock. It's more of the same, as Ando cautiously defends as Aoki peppers him with punches. He gives up his back and Aoki threatens for the rear-naked choke while boxing Ando's ears. Ando shows strong defense, forcing Aoki to remove one of his hooks to get a better look at some offense. Aoki takes both hooks out, trying to pull Ando back into back control. The “Tobikan Judan” slides one hook back in on the turtle Ando, grinding with punches.

Round 5

Ando idly jabs towards Aoki without any real commitment. Aoki shoots at the one-minute mark of the final round, but is easily sprawled on. Aoki surprises Ando with another clean head kick, then hits a flying guard pull to suck his countryman to the mat. Aoki gets wrist control and lands an upkick to the chops of Ando. The two jockey for position in almost a quasi De la Riva guard, but referee Olivier Coste unfortunately stands them up. Two minutes left to fight. Two clean jabs for Ando land, then Aoki shoots with just over a minute to go. Ando shrugs him off and Aoki chases him around in the butt scoot for a moment, drawing laughs from the crowd before Olivier Coste asks him to stand back up. With 30 seconds left, Aoki throws a rolling koppo kick nowhere near Ando, then aggressively butt scoots at him again for a moment. Aoki continues clowning on the desperate Ando until the end.
