Louis Smolka will replace Neil Seery and face Richie Vaculik in a flyweight bout at UFC Fight Night in Sydney on Nov. 8.
The promotion’s United Kingdom branch announced the change on Tuesday. No reason was given for Seery’s withdrawal. UFC Fight Night "Rockhold vs. Bisping" takes place at the Allphones Arena and is headlined by a middleweight scrap between Luke Rockhold and Michael Bisping.
Smolka debuted in the Octagon at UFC Fight Night “Rockhold vs. Philippou” on Jan. 15, when he captured a unanimous decision against Alptekin Ozkilic. He suffered his first career defeat in his next outing, dropping a split verdict to Chris Cariaso on May 10.
Vaculik, meanwhile, is 1-1 in the Octagon, falling to Justin Scoggins via first-round TKO in his debut before taking a unanimous decision triumph against Roldan Sangcha-an at UFC Fight Night “Marquardt vs. Te Huna” on June 28.
