Nathan Coy Replaces Barberena, Faces Jonavin Webb at UFC Fight Night Pittsburgh

After Bryan Barberena got the call to face Sage Northcutt at UFC on Fox 18, Jonavin Webb was temporarily left without an opponent for UFC Fight Night Pittsburgh on Feb. 21.

That changed on Saturday, as the Las Vegas-based promotion announced that Nathan Coy will replace Barberena in the welterweight bout. UFC Fight Night takes place at the Consol Energy Center and is headlined by a 170-pound tilt between Donald Cerrone and Tim Means.

An American Top Team export, Coy made his Octagon debut on Dec. 10, where he was submitted in the opening stanza by Danny Roberts at UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas. Coy, who has also competed for Bellator and Strikeforce, is 14-6 as a professional with notable wins over Rick Story, Mike Pierce, Dhiego Lima and Paul Bradley.

Webb dropped a hard-fought split decision to Kyle Noke in his first promotional foray at UFC Fight Night “Miocic vs. Hunt” last May. The 26-year-old former Cage Fury Fighting Championships titlists was unbeaten in his first nine pro outings prior to that defeat.
