“I think that toughness has been the tale of my career and pushing me beyond what my body is able to do,” Clarke said. “Although I did not get the result I wanted, it was an absolute pleasure to have my last career fight in Edmonton.”
Clarke ends his career on a three-fight skid in the Octagon that also included losses to Joseph Duffy and Michael Chiesa. Clarke fought once per year in the UFC beginning in 2011, compiling a 2-5 mark in the Octagon. He notably submitted Al Iaquinta with a brabo choke at UFC 173 in May 2014. Clarke compiled an 11-5 mark as a professional overall, with seven wins coming via submission.
