A clash of undefeated featherweight prospects is set for UFC Fight Night on May 30, as Mirsad Bektic will take on Renato Carneiro in Goiana, Brazil.
The bout was recently made official by the Las Vegas-based promotion. The UFC Fight Night card will take place at Goiana Arena and is headlined by a welterweight tussle pitting Carlos Condit against Thiago Alves.
The 24-year-old Bektic is 9-0 as a professional, including decision triumphs over Chas Skelly and Paul Redmond in the Octagon. Bektic has finished six of his victories by knockout, technical knockout or submission.
Carneiro went unbeaten in nine appearances with the Brazilian MMA promotion Jungle Fight before making his UFC debut this past December. There, “Moicano” submitted Tom Niinimaki with a second-round rear-naked choke at UFC Fight Night “Machida vs. Dollaway,” his fifth career triumph via tapout.
