Combate was first to report the lightweight booking. Bellator has not yet formally announced the event or its location, but the California-based promotion is expected to return to its schedule beginning on July 24 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.
Chandler and Henderson initially squared off at Bellator 165 in November 2016, with Chandler taking a split decision. They were slated to meet again first at Bellator 237 in Japan, but Henderson withdrew due to injury. The rematch was rebooked for Bellator 244 on June 6, but that card was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
A two-time Bellator lightweight champion, Chandler has been victorious in four of his last five promotional outings. Most recently, the 34-year-old Missouri native knocked out Sidney Outlaw in the opening stanza at Bellator 237.
Henderson, meanwhile, is currently riding the momentum a four-bout winning streak that includes triumphs over Myles Jury, Adam Piccolotti, Saad Awad and Roger Huerta.
