Matt Brown will welcome Kelvin Gastelum back to the welterweight division when the Ultimate Fighting Championship travels to Monterrey, Mexico, on Nov. 21.

Promotion officials announced the 170-pound matchup on Tuesday. Additionally, Efrain Escudero will take on Leandro Silva in a lightweight tilt. The UFC Fight Night event, which also serves as the finale of “The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America 2,” takes place at Arena Monterrey and airs on Fox Sports 1. Gastelum and Escudero are coaches on the reality show, which airs beginning Aug. 26 on UFC Fight Pass.

After dropping back-to-back bouts to ex-welterweight king Johny Hendricks and current titlist Robbie Lawler, Brown bounced back in a big way at UFC 189, as he submitted Tim Means with a guillotine choke in the open frame of their July 11 encounter. Prior to falling to Hendricks and Lawler, “The Immortal” resurrected his career with a seven-fight winning streak in the Octagon.

Gastelum, who won “TUF 17” as a middleweight, made a brief return to the 185-pound division at UFC 188, when he earned a technical knockout triumph against Nate Marquardt. The Arizona native previously compiled a 4-1 mark at 170 pounds, but weight cutting issues prompted a temporary return to middleweight. While UFC President Dana White didn’t necessarily agree with the decision, Gastelum announced his plans to return to welterweight following his win over Marquardt.
