Mark Hunt vs. Frank Mir to Headline UFC Fight Night in Brisbane on March 20

A heavyweight showdown pitting Mark Hunt against Frank Mir will serve as the main event for the UFC Fight Night card in Brisbane on March 20.

Promotion officials announced the matchup on Thursday night. No other bouts were announced for the event, which will take place at the Brisbane Entertainment Center in Brisbane, Australia and air on Fox Sports 1.

Hunt is coming off a first-round technical knockout triumph over Antonio Silva at UFC 193. Prior to that victory, “The Super Samoan” had lost consecutive bouts against Stipe Miocic and Fabricio Werdum.

Mir, meanwhile, had a mini-resurgence in 2015, as he posted back-to-back first-round stoppages of Silva and Todd Duffee before dropping a unanimous decision against Andrei Arlovski at UFC 191.
