Julio Pena vs. Tom Evans

Round 1

Tom Sconzo will officiate the first bout of tonight’s card between Julio Pena and Tom Evans. Pena opens up the festivities with a big uppercut to the chin of Evans. Evans is the longer of the two fighters, but Pena is stepping to the inside quickly in an effort to avoid the shots. Pena absolutely opens up on Evans, who is trying to cover up, but then a shot literally connects perfectly and sends Evans directly to the mat. Absolutely nasty knockout to open up tonight’s card. Just lamped him.

Gaston Bolanos vs. Caleb Archer

Round 1

Coban is the third man in the ring for Gaston Bolanos versus Caleb Archer. Bolanos comes out guns blazing. Archer lands a push kick directly to the gut of his opponent. Archer puts together a nice punching combination, now Bolanos responds with a right hook. Stiff leg kick from Archer gets checked by Bolanos. Now Bolanos comes forward with an overhand right that misses its mark. Archer throws a punch to kick combination, but it’s too slow and doesn’t score. Bolanos opens up a bit and has Archer wobbled, this earned him the round in my book. 10-9 Bolanos.

Round 2

Archer comes out throwing multiple leg kicks. Bolanos counters with a nice punch to the jaw. Archer throws a kick, then gets dumped by Bolanos for his efforts. The two fight into the corner and become entangled, resulting in the two falling to the mat. The two stand up and jostle along the ropes. Bolanos pushes off and connects with a nice liver kick. Another dump from Bolanos. Archer throws a kick that gets caught and then Bolano nearly tackles Archer out of the ring. Spinning back elbow from Bolanos connects now. Archer telegraphs another kick that gets caught as the round closes. 10-9 Bolanos.

Round 3

The third frame opens with the two coming together in the muay Thai clinch. Archer goes up high with a kick connects, Bolanos now puts together a string of shots that back Archer up. Out of nowhere, a spinning back elbow makes contact with the spinning back elbow and puts Archer to sleep. That was a thing of beauty.

Richard Abraham vs. Jo Nattawut

Round 1

Dan Miragliotta will oversee this bout between Richard Abraham and Jo Nattawut. After a touching of gloves, Abraham begins touching up the legs of Nattawut with kicks. They clinch and Nattawut begins relentlessly kneeing the side of Abraham. Push kick from Nattawut, Abraham retaliates with a three punch combination. High right roundhouse kick from Nattawut glances, he then dumps Abraham in frustration. Huge kicks to the gut of Abraham from Nattawut. Abraham tags Nattawut with a left hand in the corner. 10-9 Abraham.

Round 2

Inside the Thai clinch, both men knee each other’s thighs. Nattawut using his left leg with reckless abandon, scoring at will. Abraham blocks the move, but it’s wreaking havoc to his punching power. Running knee attempt from Nattawut hits its mark, followed by a wild looping right hand from Abraham. Two straight right roundhouse kicks from Nattawut open the forehead of Abraham. 10-9 Nattawut.

Round 3

Abraham tags Nattawut with a right hand in the corner, Nattawut nods in agreement, signaling that he caught him. Low blow from Nattawut, that’s the second instance that a kick has struck low. Push kick from Nattawut scores, he then follows with a cartwheel kick. It misses, but sure did look cool. Abraham loads up with a shot, but it misses its mark. Another low blow, Miragliotta immediately takes a point from Nattawut. 9-9.

Round 4

Three straight kicks to the body from Nattawut. Abraham is backed into a corner, exactly where he does not want to be against this 65-fight veteran, but punches his way out of it. Right hand from Nattawut rocks Abraham. Double jab, followed by a right hand from Nattawut connects. Nattawut connects shin to head with a kick and Miragliotta begins the 10 count. Now a push kick to the head of Abraham scores. Nattawut going to town since the knockdown, elbows, big punches, but Abraham showing his toughness. 10-8 Nattawut.

Round 5

Abraham seems to know that he needs a knockout, pawing at Nattawut with the jab before unloading at any window of opportunity with the overhand right. Nattawut is getting touched up a little too much for his preference, eventually dumping Abraham to the mat to break the rhythm. Nattawut cruising, spending the final minute of the fight with his hands at his sides trying to antagonize his opponent. 10-9 Nattawut (48-45) Nattawut.

Jason Andrada vs. John Nofer

Round 1

Jason Andrada and John Nofer will be overseen by referee Sconzo from earlier in the evening. Nofer putting the kicks on Andrada here early. Liver kick now from Nofer makes Andrada grimace. Great right hand from Nofer makes contact with the chin of Andrada. Now Andrada comes marching back with a punching combination. The two middleweights enter the clinch briefly, but then separate and trade hook shots on the way out. Andrada finishes the round with a head kick. 10-9 Nofer.

Round 2

Andrada goes to the lead leg of Nofer early. Both men cracking the bottom half of their opponent emphatically. Jab from Andrada meets the mark. Andrada’s output really popping off here. Nofer with an elbow out of nowhere, Andrada drops to the mat. The two start right back up, Nofer smells blood and lands another huge elbow. The 21-year-old looking for the finish. Andrada is a bloody mess, continually eating elbows. Now a spinning version of the maneuver. Sconzo steps in a bit prematurely, starts the standing 10 count, then waves the fight off.

Sittisak vs. Chris Mauceri

Round 1

Jo Sittisak versus Chris Mauceri is being billed at the U.S. against Thailand, but it’s really experience against none. Right off the bat both men enter the clinch, no shots are thrown when they are in the inside. On the restart, Sittisak opens up with elbows, which he said in the pre-fight interview are his strength. Textbook catch and sweep from Sittisak on Maurceri. Sittisak negating all the punches from Mauceri early on here. Mauceri goes high with a kick, but gets dumped for his efforts. 10-9 Sittisak.

Round 2

Sittisak again dumps Mauceri. The New York native nearly connects with a swift head kick, but Sittisak continues pecking away. Flying knee from Sittisak to the gut. Mauceri breaks off and lands an elbow that he follows with a flying knee of his own. Mauceri opens up with a smooth punching combination to close the second round, swaying me in his favor. 10-9 Mauceri.

Round 3

Mauceri comes straight at Sittisak and throws elbows. Doesn’t mess with the punches, just throws the hard part of his arm. Sittisak is putting on a clinic when it comes to blocking the shots of Mauceri. Outside leg kick from Mauceri now. The pace in this one is plodding for a muay Thai bout. Mauceri is marching forward, but it’s playing right into the game of Sittisak who counters. 10-9 Sittisak.

Round 4

Roundhouse from Mauceri opens up the round, Sittisak catches the second attempt and dumps Mauceri to the mat. Sittisak with multiple elbows now, but they come together and enter the clinch. Sittisak scores an elbow that makes Mauceri stutter step. Sittisak checks a low kick from Mauceri. Sittisak continue to block nearly every strike that comes his way. They fight towards the outskirts of the ring and both men nearly tumble outside the ropes. 10-9 Sittisak.

Round 5

Fifth and final round begins with both men embracing in the center of the ring. Mauceri gets another one of his kicks caught and gets sent to the floor. Mauceri continues walking forward, but Sittisak seems to see every strike before it’s thrown and just makes the slightest of adjustments away from it. Mauceri with a big overhand punch, Sittisak moves, then comes right back forward with a knee to the gut. Both men wave one another on to encourage some action, Sittisak pushes his opponent into the corner, lands two elbows and gets out. Mauceri gets cut open from the shot. Mauceri screaming at Sittisak, going for broke, but Sittisak smothers him in the corner as the fight concludes. 10-9 Sittisak (49-46) Sittisak.

Jorina Baars vs. Chantal Ughi

Round 1

Jorina Baars hopes to remain undefeated in this main event encounter. Chantal Ughi lost to the Dutch fighter via split decision quite some time ago. Dan Miragliotta will watch over the women. Baars comes out with a leg kick. Ughi follows with one of her own. Baars looks much faster than Ughi here early. Front kick from Baars sends Ughi back into the corner. Baars peppering the front leg of her Italian opponent. Baars steps forward and rocks her foe with shots to the head. This one doesn’t seem like it’s going to last long. Ughi tries to clinch with Baars, but it doesn’t last more than a moment. Baars literally wrecked Ughi this round, but Ughi showed toughness. 10-9 Baars.

Round 2

The champion gets in and out so quickly when she looks to land her shots. Ughi is trying to slow down the pace by locking up the clinch and throwing the elbows. After a bit of a lull, Baars continues peppering the front leg of Ughi. Head kick from Baars scores. Ughi does manage to land a knee, but it does nothing to the 26-year-old champion. Ughi trying to fight back but Baars just has too many weapons. 10-9 Baars.

Round 3

Jorina opens the third exactly how she opened the first two, slamming the lead leg of Ughi with that nasty kick. The camera zooms in on the leg of Ughi and it is wrecked with welts and redness. Finally, a knockdown from Baars. Miragliotta counts to seven and Ughi says she wants to continue. Baars smells blood in the water, opening up now and kicking it into second gear. Three-punch combination from Baars culminates in an opening for another kick to the front leg. Ughi tries to clinch up, but can’t stay there long enough to do any damage. 10-9 Baars.

During the commercial, Ughi refuses to get up off the chair. This one is all over.
