Lightweights Paul Felder, Ross Pearson to Clash at UFC 191 on Sept. 5

Paul Felder will meet Ross Pearson in a lightweight battle at UFC 191 in Las Vegas on Sept. 5, promotion officials announced Friday.

UFC 191 takes place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena and features a flyweight championship rematch between Demetrious Johnson and John Dodson. In addition, Andrei Arlovski will square off against Frank Mir in a heavyweight showdown.

Felder was victorious in his first two Octagon appearances, including a spectacular spinning-back fist knockout of Danny Castillo at UFC 182. “The Irish Dragon” came up short in his most recent outing, however, as he dropped a unanimous decision to Edson Barboza at UFC on Fox 16.

Pearson, meanwhile, has alternated losses and wins in his last five bouts. In his last UFC appearace, “The Real Deal” lost a three-round verdict against Evan Dunham at UFC Fight Night “Bisping vs. Leites.” Pearson owns wins over the likes of Sam Stout, Gray Maynard, Dennis Siver and George Sotiropoulos during his promotional tenure.
