Lightweights Jim Miller and Bobby Green have verbally agreed to square off at UFC 172.
Promotion officials announced the matchup on Friday night. UFC 172 takes place at the Baltimore Arena in Baltimore, Md., on April 26 and is headlined by a light heavyweight title tilt between Jon Jones and Glover Teixeira.
Miller has posted a 12-3 mark in the promotion, with his only losses coming at the hands of Gray Maynard, Nate Diaz and Benson Henderson. Another loss to Pat Healy at UFC 159 was ruled a no contest when Healy failed a post-fight drug test. The AMA Fight Club product last competed at UFC 168, where he submitted Fabricio Camoes with an armbar 3:42 into the first round.
Green, meanwhile, carries a seven-fight winning streak into his matchup with Miller. The 27-year-old known as “King” has earned triumphs over Jacob Volkmann, James Krause and Pat Healy since coming to the UFC from Strikeforce last year.
