Lightweights Anthony Njokuani, Daron Cruickshank Booked for UFC Fight Night in Halifax

Anthony Njokuani and Daron Cruickshank will square off in what could be a striker’s delight at UFC Fight Night in Halifax, Nova Scotia, on Oct. 4.
The UFC announced the pairing on Thursday. UFC Fight Night "MacDonald vs. Saffiedine" takes place at the Halifax Metro Centre and features a welterweight showdown between Rory MacDonald and Tarec Saffiedine.
The 34-year-old Njokuani has alternated wins and losses in his last eight UFC bouts. “The Assassin” last appeared at UFC 173, where he dropped a unanimous decision to Vinc Pichel. Nine of Njokuani’s 16 career triumphs have come by knockout or technical knockout.
Cruickshank, meanwhile, had a two-fight winning streak halted by Jorge Masvidal at UFC on Fox 12. “The Ultimate Fighter 15” alum owns notable victories against Yves Edwards and Erik Koch during his promotional tenure.
