Brad Taylor vs. Jared Gooden

Round 1

Gooden advances on Taylor, trading punches and landing his right hand before feinting and setting up the double-leg shot. Gooden locks his hands, picks Taylor up onto his shoulder and slams him down along the fence with power. He moves into side control, sitting out into scarf control and peppering his man with punches. Taylor tries to stand, but Gooden sinks his outside hook and threatens to take the back, boxing his ears. With just under two minutes fought, Gooden rolls back, sinks both hooks and looks for the rear-naked choke. Taylor turtles up and Gooden is riding him high, but he re-establishes position and keeps punching away. Taylor tries to elbow Gooden over his own shoulder, but can't escape back mount. Gooden keeps working for the choke as Taylor turtles, but can't get it, so he opts to punch the side of his head and hammerfist him some more. With under a minute to go, Gooden goes over the top for an armbar, but Taylor escapes and sets up in full guard. Gooden looks for a triangle, but Taylor explodes out, winging away with wild punches up until the round ends.

Gooden controls his opponent with a front headlock, forcing Taylor onto his seat against the cage while angling for a guillotine choke. Gooden torques on the head of Taylor, but it's more of a headlock. Taylor gets to his feet with just over a minute left in the round, driving for another single. Taylor locks his hands around Gooden's waist and puts him down, he just can't keep him there for more than a few seconds before Gooden is back on his feet, elbowing him in the head. The attempt isn't snug, Taylor pulls his arm out and winds up on top. Gooden quickly shrimps back to the fence, trying to stand back up. Gooden closes his guard while locking up a kimura, which he uses to smoothly sweep into full mount with over three minutes left in the fight. Taylor throws his legs up and scissors out of mount, but he winds up in another armbar and this time, he can't free his arm. Gooden pops his hips and gets the tap.

Round 1

Usher pushes his feet off the cage, leveraging his hips up for an armbar and sweeps Pickett deftly, but they're up against the fence and Usher can't pull his foe's arm straight. Pickett shimmies free and gets on top again, pushing Usher against the cage and pounding away liberally. Usher rolls into a single-leg attempt, but Pickett gets a headlock and sprawls. Nonetheless, Usher fights to his feet, drives the takedown then trips Pickett's plant leg, taking him down momentarily. The North Carolinian hops right back up, taking “Yamato” right back down and moving into side control and looking for a top crucifix. He forces Usher to roll, almost allowing Pickett to take the back. Pickett keeps pressuring Usher in the scramble, sinks his hooks, then winds up in full mount with just over 20 second to go. Josh Blyden vs. Nick Sprayberry

Round 1

Sprayberry runs into the clinch quickly, sweeping Blyden's foot out and moving on top. At first it looks like Sprayberry is going to step over Blyden's leg for a kneebar, but he knifes through, steps into side control. Blyden rolls up, but Sprayberry grabs a guillotine and sweeps into full mount. Fantastic grappling from Sprayberry. Sprayberry gets away with a major fence grab, but nonetheless, Blyden rolls and escapes, setting up shop on top and pounding away on Sprayberry. As Blyden gets pounding, Sprayberry grapevines his left leg and looks to sweep or threaten via leglock. Blyden keeps moving on top, but eventually, one of Sprayberry's myriad heel hook attempts trips him up and lets Sprayberry hop to his feet with under a minute to go. Sprayberry runs in for a takedown of his own, but sticks his neck out too far. Blyden locks up a deep guillotine and jumps guard as Sprayberry tries to slam him, deepening the choke. C.J. Hamilton vs. Brantley Furr

Round 1

Furr is aggressive from the outset, swarming on Hamilton with swiping right hooks and chopping overhands. After eating some real leather for the first 30 seconds, Hamilton neutralizes Furr momentarily, running him into the fence and securing double underhooks. Furr breaks Hamilton's underhooks but can't get off the fence, so both men just take turns kneeing one another to the thighs and body. Furr blocks a takedown and drills a solid knee into the gut of Hamilton, but Hamilton reponds with a blistering knee to the ribs moments later. They swing punches out of the clinch with just over two minutes in the opening round. Hamilton glances with a head kick, eats a right hand from Furr, then tackles his opponent to the mat. Furr overhooks both of Hamilton's arms to stall, while Hamilton edges him back to the fence. The action slows to a crawl and referee George Allen stands them up. The Bellator vet can't hold Barnes down again, as the Georgian rolls back to his knees, then gets to his feet again with 80 seconds to go. Vitkay is charging for another takedown, but gets stood up inside once more. Both men trade slow knees to the body from the clinch, but when the 10-second warning sounds, both men unload with knees and heavy punches, Vitkay landing the harder and cleaner of the haymakers.

Harvison turns away from the fence, but Rinaldi keeps the position and stays more concerned with keeping Harvison locked down from back control than overexerting for the choke. With 45 seconds in the round, Rinaldi throws his right leg up to trap Harvison's left arm, but can't quite pin it. He rides out the rest of the round.

Rinaldi applies a body triangle, but “Heavy Metal” manages to break it and explode free. As Harvison tries to get to his feet, Rinaldi envelopes him in a whirl, sinking the rear-naked choke as he simultaneously re-sinks his hooks and ensnares Harvison on the mat. This time the choke is in, it's tight and this fight is over.
