A women’s bantamweight matchup between ex-Invicta FC champ Lauren Murphy and former UFC title challenger Liz Carmouche is set to take place in April.

UFC officials Tuesday announced that the 135-pound bout will be part of UFC Fight Night “Mendes vs. Lamas,” which goes down April 4 in Fairfax, Va., at Patriot Center on the campus of George Mason University. The recently announced lineup includes a featherweight headliner pitting Chad Mendes against Ricardo Lamas, as well as a lightweight scrap between Bobby Green and Jorge Masvidal.

Murphy suffered her first loss in her UFC debut last August, dropping a split decision to Sara McMann in Maine. The 31-year-old Alaskan began her career with an 8-0 run, including a title-winning performance against Miriam Nakamoto at Invicta FC 7.

Carmouche, 30, has lost three of four outings since joining the UFC in February 2013, though those three defeats have come against champion Ronda Rousey and fellow contenders Miesha Tate and Alexis Davis. The “Girl-rilla” has not seen action since last April, when she lost a three-round unanimous decision to Tate at UFC on Fox 11.
