Kyung Ho Kang Injured, Alex Caceres Meets Motonobu Tezuka at UFC on Fuel TV 6

One Octagon debutant has been replaced by another at UFC on Fuel TV 6, as Motonobu Tezuka steps in for an injured Kyung Ho Kang to face Alex Caceres next weekend.

Promotion officials announced the change on Saturday. UFC on Fuel TV 6 marks the UFC’s first effort on Chinese soil and takes place Nov. 10 at the CotaiArena in Cotai, Macau. Headlined by a middleweight confrontation between former UFC champion Rich Franklin and ex-Strikeforce ruler Cung Le, the evening’s main draw airs live on Fuel TV.

Tezuka has lost just once in his last 16 fights, falling via split decision last year to Shintaro Ishiwatari. A veteran of both Pancrase and Deep competition, the 25-year-old has been perfect through 2012 thus far, earning a March 11 technical knockout over Tatsuya So before outpointing Shunichi Shimizu on April 28 at Pancrase “Progress Tour 5.”

Known to fans of “The Ultimate Fighter” as “Bruce Leeroy,” Caceres, 24, has taken significant strides in his last three fights, outpointing veteran Cole Escovedo one year ago before acquitting himself well in a February split decision defeat to Edwin Figueroa. The American last competed on July 11 at UFC on Fuel TV 4, submitting Jackson’s MMA representative Damacio Page with a second-round triangle choke.
