Former welterweight title contender Josh Koscheck plans to return to the Octagon, perhaps at 185 pounds, at UFC 139 on Nov. 19 at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif. The 33-year-old American Kickboxing Academy representative unveiled those plans via Twitter: “My next fight is in SAN JOSE cali. NOV 19th Good chance fighting at 185lbs. :) should know real soon who.”

Koscheck (15-5, 13-5 UFC) last appeared at UFC 124 in December, when he lost a one-sided unanimous decision to welterweight king Georges St. Pierre at the Bell Centre in Montreal. He did not emerge from the cage unscathed, as repeated encounters with the St. Pierre jab left him with a broken orbital. The defeat snapped Koscheck’s three-fight winning streak.

One of MMA’s more polarizing figures, Koscheck wrestled collegiately at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, where he was a four-time NCAA All-American and won a national championship. Spawned by Season 1 of “The Ultimate Fighter” reality series, he owns notable victories against Paul Daley, Anthony Johnson, Frank Trigg, Chris Lytle and Diego Sanchez. Koscheck has secured nine of his 15 wins by knockout, technical knockout or submission.
