Kickboxing Star Gokhan Saki to Make Octagon Debut at UFC Fight Night in Japan

Former Glory and K-1 kickboxing world champion Gokhan Saki
has a date for his Ultimate Fighting Championship debut.
The Las Vegas-based promotion announced Friday that Saki will
square off against Henrique
da Silva in a light heavyweight tilt at
UFC Fight Night in Japan on Sept. 23. The card takes place at
Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan, and is headlined by a light
heavyweight rematch between Ovince St.
Preux and Mauricio
Saki has one mixed martial arts bout on his record, a technical
knockout loss to James Zikic
at Cage Fighting Championships 1 “Cage Carnage” in Liverpool on
July 11, 2004. The 33-year-old is far more decorated in the
kickboxing realm, as he owns an 83-12 mark and has defeated the
likes of Tyrone
Manhoef, Daniel Ghita and Ray Sefo.
