UFC Fight Night 118 takes place at Ergo Arena in Gdansk, Poland,
and will stream in its entirety on UFC Fight Pass. A headliner has
not been announced for the card.
Kowalkiewicz, 31, enters the bout on a two-fight losing streak.
After dropping a five-round verdict to Joanna
Jedrzejczyk in a title bout at UFC 205, the Lodz, Poland,
native was submitted in the first-round by Claudia
Gadelha in her most recent outing at UFC 212. Kowalkiewicz
began her professional career with 10 straight victories, including
three in UFC competition.
An injury forced Esquibel to withdraw from a shot at Invicta’s
vacant strawweight title last week. The Jackson-Wink MMA product
posted a 4-2 mark in the all-female organization and is coming off
a split-decision over DeAnna
Bennett at Invicta FC 22 on March 25.
