Jordan Johnson Captures 205-Pound Title Over LeMarcus Tucker in Final RFA Event

Las Vegas-based Resurrection Fighting Alliance held its final event on Friday night as the promotion took over the Branson Convention Center in Branson, Mo., for RFA 46. The company will officially merge with Legacy Fighting Championship in January to form Legacy Fighting Alliance but before the chapter closed on the RFA, a light heavyweight champion had to be crowned.

In the main event, Jordan Johnson proved to be too much for LeMarcus Tucker to handle as he dominated him from the opening bell en route to a unanimous decision win. Johnson’s speed, power and overall better gameplan negated most of what Tucker tried and in the end, he won a lopsided verdict, though the fight wasn’t overflowing with action. Johnson hoisted the RFA 205-pound belt after being awarded the nod via tallies of 49-44 and 49-45 (twice).

James Nakashima toppled Desmond Hill in the co-feature, winning a unanimous decision as well. Nakashima was a step faster than his opponent and wound up winning by scores of 29-27 on all three official scorecards.

In other action on AXS TV, Bobby Moffett edged T.J. Brown via split decision; Katy Collins stopped Mandy Polk at 4:35 of the second due to punches; Kenny Fredenburg defeated Don’Tale Mayes via disqualification due to an illegal elbow at 2:06 of the first; and Jeremiah Cullum submitted David Waters via rear-naked choke in just 78 seconds.
