Joby Sanchez will make his Octagon debut on short notice, as the Jackson-Wink MMA prospect will face Wilson Reis when the UFC heads to Oklahoma on Aug. 23.
Sanchez replaces the Tim Elliott, who withdrew from the fight due to injury. The UFC announced the flyweight pairing on Thursday. SWFight.com reports that Sanchez has signed a four-fight deal with the Las Vegas-based promotion.

The 23-year-old Sanchez recently switched camps in Albuquerque, N.M., moving from the Chavez Dojo to Jackson-Wink MMA. Unbeaten in six professional bouts, Sanchez earned the biggest win of his career last week, stopping WEC veteran Antonio Banuelos in the second round at Tachi Palace Fights 20. Sanchez was scheduled to face Matt Manzanares at RFA 18 in Albuquerque before the UFC came calling.
A longtime veteran of Bellator MMA, Reis is 1-1 in the Octagon. The 29-year-old Brazilian outpointed Ivan Menjivar in his promotional debut before dropping a split verdict to Iuri Alcantara in February.
