Jiri Prochazka, Kazuyuki Fujita on Point for Rizin FF 1; Yuki Motoya Misses FLW Limit
Czech prospect Jiri Prochazka and longtime Japanese MMA veteran Kazuyuki Fujita both hit the scales Saturday morning in Nagoya, Japan, to make their Rizin Fighting Federation main event official.
The 23-year-old Prochazka, who fell to “King Mo” Muhammed Lawal in the finals of Rizin's eight-man heavyweight tournament this past New Year's Eve season, clocked in at 217, while the 45-year-old “Ironhead” tipped the beam at 240. Fujita is just 1-5 in his last six bouts over a nine-year stretch, most recently losing to Olympic judo gold medalist Satoshi Ishii under the Inoki Genome Federation banner in December 2013.
