Jim Lampley: Floyd Mayweather ‘Obviously’ Threw Rounds Against Conor McGregor
There’s at least one prominent member of the boxing community who thinks Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor aren’t through with each other yet.

“Why should he retire? He created a marvelous scam with this whole thing. He allowed Conor to ‘win’ three rounds so the whole global MMA wish community could have something to latch on to,” Lampley said. “I think there’s a decent chance there’s enough suckers out there Floyd could maybe make another $150 million.”
McGregor did fare better in the contest’s early frames, but
Mayweather gradually took over and cruised down the stretch to earn
his 50th professional victory. While official numbers have not been
released, the Showtime pay-per-view is believed to have been a
massive success – at the very least coming very close to breaking
the record of 4.46 million buys set by Mayweather vs. Manny
Pacquiao in May 2015, if not exceeding that figure.
Recently, Mayweather posted a video of himself working out on a heavy bag, fueling speculation that he might not be completely done just yet.
“Why else is he putting out videos of him working out? Why did he allow Conor McGregor to win three rounds? Why did the whole thing last 10 rounds, etc.?” Lampley said. “It’s all a setup.”

Lampley wouldn’t be shocked to see Mayweather come out of retirement yet again for another lucrative payday.
“So we’re betting on the question of whether Floyd wants to make another $150 million?” he said. “Why would that even be a bet?”
