Jason ‘Mayhem’ Miller Charged with Misdemeanor Vandalism in California

Former UFC and Strikeforce fighter Jason “Mayhem” Miller has been charged with one misdemeanor count of vandalism by the Orange County District Attorney.

Miller was arrested on Aug. 13 by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department in Mission Viejo, Calif., for allegedly breaking into a church and spraying a fire extinguisher on the building’s first and second floors. The fighter posted bail the following day and was released without having a formal charge filed against him. Miller is now scheduled to appear in court Nov. 21 for his arraignment.

The charge alleged against Miller was detailed in a complaint filed by the Orange County District Attorney on Wednesday.

“Miller did maliciously and unlawfully deface with graffiti and other inscribed material, damage, and destroy church property, real and personal property belonging to Mission Hills Baptist Church, in the amount of $400 and more,” the complaint reads.

Miller, 31, most recently completed a two-fight stint with the UFC after serving opposite Michael Bisping as a coach on “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 14. Mayhem was then bested by Bisping at the December finale, as “The Count” earned a third-round technical knockout over the former Strikeforce middleweight title contender. The Californian was last seen in the cage on May 26, when he dropped a unanimous decision to C.B. Dollaway at UFC 146.
