Polish mixed martial arts promotion Konfrontacja Sztuk Walki added the finishing touches to the KSW 25 card on Thursday, announcing that the co-main event of the evening will feature light heavyweight champion Jan Błachowicz defending his title against Virgil Zwicker.

KSW 25 takes place Dec. 7 from Centennial Hall in Wroclaw, Poland, and is headlined by a middleweight showdown between Mamed Khalidov and Ryuta Sakurai. The nine-fight bill will stream live on www.kswtv.com.

Blachowicz enters the cage riding a five-fight winning streak, during which he earned decision victories over UFC veterans Houston Alexander and Mario Miranda. The Pole’s lone defeat in his last 15 outings came in March of 2011, when he was unable to continue against Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou due to a badly bruised left thigh. He later rectified his loss to “The African Assassin,” outpointing the Octagon alum to capture the KSW title the following November. Blachowicz most recently competed this past March, successfully defending his belt against another former UFC talent in Goran Reljic.

Zwicker now makes his KSW debut after previously competing in both Bellator and Strikeforce. Known for his punching power, Zwicker has finished eight of his 11 victims by form of knockout and has been stopped only once in 10 years of competition. “Rezdog” was last seen in September at Bellator 99, where he dispatched Nick Moghaddam via strikes in the first round.
