Jamie Moyle-Emily Whitmire Strawweight Tilt Added to UFC 226 Lineup

The UFC 226 lineup continues to grow, as Jamie Moyle will square off against Emily Whitmire in strawweight bout on July 7 in Las Vegas.

The promotion has yet to formally announced the fight, but both Moyle and Whitmire recently confirmed the pairing via Instagram. UFC 226 takes place at the T-Mobile Arena and is headlined by a heavyweight title tilt between Stipe Miocic and Daniel Cormier.

A competitor on Season 23 of “The Ultimate Fighter,” Moyle debuted in the Octagon with a three-round verdict against Kailin Curran at the “TUF 24” finale. In her last outing, the Syndicate MMA product was outpointed by Viviane Pereira at UFC 212. Moyle is 4-2 as a professional overall.

Whitmire, meanwhile, was a cast member on “TUF 26,” where she fell to Roxanne Modafferi in a quarterfinal matchup. Her official promotional debut come at the “TUF 26” finale this past December, when she tapped to a Gillian Robertson armbar 2:12 into the first round to fall to 2-2 in her young professional career.
