The fighters will meet at UFC Fight Night 135, which is booked for the Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska, on Aug. 25. As reported on Wednesday by ESPN, Iaquinta chose to withdraw from his headlining bout opposite Gaethje. The reason behind his choice is yet to be revealed.

Vick was slated to fight Paul Felder at UFC Fight Night 133 on July 14. It is unknown if a new opponent will be found for “The Irish Dragon” to keep him on the event.

Vick is riding a four-fight winning streak at 155 pounds and has gone 9-1 since joining the UFC in 2013. In his last fight, “The Texecutioner” defeated Francisco Trinaldo by unanimous decision at UFC Austin.

Gaethje will enter the event following back-to-back losses. The former World Series of Fighting champion has been finished by Dustin Poirier and Eddie Alvarez, though all of his UFC performances thus far have been awarded with a Fight of the Night bonus.
