Bobby Lashley isn’t going to get his rematch with James Thompson just yet.
An injured has forced the British heavyweight out of his proposed bout against Lashley at Bellator 138 on June 19. Bellator officials announced on Wednesday that Lashley will instead face Dan Charles in a featured bout on the Spike TV-televised portion of the card.

Lashley dropped a unanimous verdict to Thompson at Super Fight League 3 in May 2012. The 38-year-old professional wrestling star has since won five straight fights, including two with Bellator MMA. Most recently, “The Dominator” stopped Karl Etherington inside of a round at Bellator 130.
Charles, 29, is based at Arizona’s Power MMA and Fitness and owns a 9-2 professional mark, including seven victories inside the distance. He was victorious in his last two Bellator appearances, a third-round knockout of Stuart Austin at Bellator 126 and a unanimous decision triumph over James Wilson at the promotion’s special Monster Energy Cup event last October.
