Jillian DeCoursey vs. Ashley Medina

Round 1

Medina takes the center of the cage and aggressively moves forward with punching combinations. DeCoursey looks to clinch and the fighters exchange knees. DeCoursey lands a hard straight left on the break. DeCoursey lands a couple hooks and clinches with Medina again. They struggle for position against the fence, and Medina denies a DeCoursey throw attempt. Medina jabs forward after they separate, with DeCoursey looking to counter. A multi-punch combination followed by a body kick from DeCoursey. Medina doubles up on her jab and DeCoursey backs her off with a right hand counter. Medina pushes forward and lands a one-two before being sucked into the clinch. DeCoursey turns her foe around and lands a knee and some short punches. A straight right lands for DeCoursey. DeCoursey briefly backs Medina up with a power punching flurry. 10-9 DeCoursey.

Round 2

Medina kicks the inside leg of DeCoursey, who responds with a right hand. Moments later, DeCoursey pressures with another punching flurry. They clinch again and Medina pushes her foe against the fence. A multi-punch combo finds a home for DeCoursey before she ties up Medina. DeCoursey lands a big right hand over the top on the break, but Medina is unfazed. Medina covers up and blocks a DeCoursey combo before popping her foe with a jab. A right hand from DeCoursey briefly backs up Medina. Medina pressures and lands a right hand before the atomweights clinch. Medina continues to work behind her jab. DeCoursey misses a high kick and Medina lands a low kick. DeCoursey lands a right hand in the clinch and drops for a single-leg takedown. She gives up on it just before the round ends. 10-9 DeCoursey.

Round 3

Medina marches forward once again, and DeCoursey misses a wild combination. Medina lands a jab then backs away. DeCoursey drops low for a single leg from long range and puts her adversary on her back. DeCoursey passes to half guard and is throwing left hands to the head and body. DeCoursey moves to side control and Medina gives up her back. DeCoursey secures both hooks, and Medina is fighting her opponent’s hands to fend off the rear-naked choke. DeCoursey isn’t directly on Medina’s back, but she is able to regain a hook when Medina attempts to stand. DeCoursey lands some punches to the head from Medina’s back. DeCoursey is landing some punches and loses the hooks, but she still has Medina’s back as time winds down. DeCoursey lands several right hands before the bell sounds. 10-8 DeCoursey (30-26 DeCoursey).

Tracy Cortez vs. Cheri Muraski

Round 1

Muraski works her way inside through some Cortez punches to force the clinch. Cortez lands an elbow in close quarters and then a couple punches upstairs. Another short right hand in close connects for Cortez. Cortez lands an elbow on the break and follows up with a two-piece. Muraski is bleeding from the nose already now. Cortez defends a takedown try and they battle in the clinch. Cortez lands a couple knees to the midsection. Muraski lands a standing elbow and Cortez responds with a couple punches. Muraski’s nose continues to leak blood. Cortey lands a pair of low kicks and a two-punch combo. Muraski counters with a couple right hands and they clinch. They separate and Muraski lands a hard right, but Cortez answers with a combination. Cortez shoots for a double leg and pushes her foe against the fence. Muraski throws some elbows to the side of the head as she defends. Muraski has a kimura grip now, but she eventually gives up her back from the standing position. They go to the canvas and Muraski lands a couple backward elbows before the bell. 10-9 Cortez.

Round 2

Cortez lands a knee and a right hand at the outset. They clinch again, and Cortez gets double underhooks and pushes the taller Muraski into the fence. They trade knees as they jockey for position. Cortez lands a low kick in space. A big left hand from Muraski knocks Cortez’s mouthpiece free. Referee Jason McCoy steps in so Cortez can retrieve her mouthguard. The action resumes and Muraski forces the clinch. Cortez turns and drops for a single leg. Muraski defends with her back to the fence and lands some right hands to the body. Muraski gets a guillotine grip from the standing position. They spin in circles before Muraski drops to her back and the choke is locked in. As she transitions to mount, Cortez taps.

Courtney King vs. Shaianna Rincon

Round 1

Rincon kicks the lead leg and King answers with a right hand. Rincon takes King down near the fence. Rincon is in half guard and unloads with a series of short lefts as King works her way to her feet. Rincon maintains double underhooks and looks to trip her opponent to the canvas. The action has stalled somewhat as King defends with a guillotine. Rincon lands an elbow and right hand on the break. They exchange and King lands some punches upstairs. King attacks with punches and clinches with Rincon against the fence. Rincon wraps up King’s leg and drags her opponent down. Rincon fights to maintain top position and ends up in half guard. King scrambles to Rincon’s back with less than a minute remaining. King drops to her back and has both hooks in. She hunts for the rear-naked choke, but she can’t slide her arm under Rincon’s chin before the end of the frame. 10-9 King.

Round 2

King fires off a combination and connects with a right. Rincon answers with a right of her own. Rincon ducks under a punch from King and lands a takedown. Rincon mounts King and then transitions to King’s back. Rincon landing punches and elbows as King attempts to buck and roll out of danger. Rincon maintains control and is dropping more elbows and punches. King is blocking some but is absorbing plenty of damage. King gets to the fence and tries to use her legs to buck out of the position. Rincon is still in full mount, however. Rincon gets back to work with punches and elbows. Refereee Josh Rosenthal is taking a closer look as Rincon continues her assault. Rincon continues to maintain a furious pace with her ground-and-pound. King is moving and trying to defend, but she is eating a large number of shots. Finally, Rosenthal has seen enough and waves off the fight.

Sarah Kleczka vs. AmberLynn Orr

Round 1

Kleczka comes forward with low kicks and right hands. Orr tries to use kicks to control the range, but Kleczka forces the clinch. They jockey for position and trade knees in close quarters. Orr lands a pair of short elbows and Kleczka counters with a right hand on the break. A side kick to the midsection drives Kleczka back. Orr then changes levels and takes her opponent down near the fence. Orr stands and gives Kleczka enough room to get to her feet. Orr goes right back to the clinch, and Kleczka turns her foe into the fence. Orr locks up a standing guillotine. They go to the ground and Orr briefly has a mounted choke, but Kleczka quickly escapes. They tie up again, with Orr pushing Kleczka against the cage. They trade knees and Kleczka reverses position. Kleczka gets an arm-in guillotine and pulls the head down to land some knees before the bell sounds. 10-9 Orr.

Round 2

Kleczka is aggressive at the beginning with her offense, landing punches and kicks. A right hand by Orr is followed by the clinch. Orr looks to lower her level and go for a single-leg takedown. Orr tries to trip Kleczka down but it’s Kleczka who ends up on top in a scramble. Kleczka defends an armbar and is looking to pass guard. Orr seems to be framing an armbar but instead is able to roll over into top position. Orr lands some ground-and-pound as she attempts to improve her position. Orr continues to lands moderate offense from half guard. Kleczka tries to frame a kimura as Orr lands left hands to the body. Orr stands and Kleczka tries for an armbar. Orr defends and the round comes to a close. 10-9 Orr.

Round 3

Kleczka drives forward once again and lands a punch before pushing Orr’s back into the fence. Kleczka keeps control of the position and lands some knees to the midsection. Orr turns off the cage and they continue to maintain the clinch in the center of the cage. Eventually Orr pushes Kleczka into the fence. Kleczka lands a knee to the face with her back to the cage. They trade more knees and Kleczka turns Orr into the fence. Kleczka drives her knee up for a short shot to the face before landing more knees to the thighs and body. Referee Mark Lawley orders a separation as the action slows. After a brief exchange, Kleczka forces the clinch with about 40 seconds to go. Kleczka traps her foe’s arm and lands a knee upstairs. Orr reverses position but doesn’t land anything significant before the final bell sounds. 10-9 Kleczka (29-28 Orr).

Alyse Anderson vs. Shino VanHoose

Round 1

Anderson lans a body kick, and VanHoose answers with some punches upstairs. VanHoose lands a left hook to the head followed by a knee. They’re tied up against the cage now and Anderson tries for a single leg. VanHoose maintains her balance and remains upright. Anderson briefly gets her opponent down, but VanHoose pops up. Anderson remains attached to her in the clinch and she eventually powers VanHoose down. Anderson is trapped in a guillotine but pops her head free and goes to work from her foe’s full guard. Anderson is heavy on top, but VanHoose is doing a decent job of neutralizing her offense. Referee Jason McCoyorders a standup and the atomweights exchange on the feet. VanHoose lands a straight right hand. Anderson comes with a left hand over the top and moments later plants VanHoose on her back with another takedown. Anderson passes to side contorl and lands some shots before VanHoose scrambles up. VanHoose tees off with some hard punches near the fence just before the end of the round. 10-9 Anderson.

Round 2

VanHoose lands a low kick followed by a punch to the head. Anderson connects with a low kick. Another exchange ensues, and VanHoose lands a solid right hand. VanHoose goes for a step-in knee and Anderson times a takedown attempt perfectly. Anderson is in her foe’s full guard but isn’t producing much in the way of offense. VanHoose slaps the side of Anderson’s head. Anderson is throwing some punches but isn’t creating enough space to land with force. Anderson is doing just enough to maintain the position, but McCoy is ordering her to work. VanHoose is staying busy on the bottom with her guard and short strikes, while Anderson is all about top pressure and position. Anderson drops a short elbow. VanHoose continues to utilize a high guard to limit Anderson’s ground-and-pound. The round ends with Anderson on top. 10-9 Anderson.

Round 3

VanHoose steps in with her jab, then a right hand over the top. Anderson throws a kick to the body and VanHoose counters with a left. VanHoose attacks with punches and finds the range with a clean right. Anderson throws a kick to the body, closes the distance and lands a left. Anderson goes for a takedown and is reversed. VanHoose scrambles into full mount. Anderson tries to escape through the back door but VanHoose looks like she might have her opponent’s arm isolated. After a brief wardrobe malfunction for Anderson is corrected, the action is restarted and Anderson is out of danger. Anderson is on top in VanHoose’s full guard near the fence. A lack of action results in a standup. VanHoose finds the range on a right hand. A jab lands clean followed by another right for VanHoose. Anderson tries for a takedown and drives VanHoose into the fence. VanHoose turns Anderson around and lands a pair of knees. Anderson wraps herself around VanHoose and takes the back, falling to the floor. Anderson doesn’t have full back control, and VanHoose escapes and ends the frame with standing-to-ground punches. 10-9 VanHoose (29-28 Anderson).

Sharon Jacobson vs. Kali Robbins

Round 1

Robbins catches a push kick from Jacobson but eats some hard punches for her efforts. Robbins lets the leg go, and Jacobson tees off with a series of hard right hands. Robbins appears to be stunned. Jacobson executes a head-and-arm throw and dumps Robbins on her head, winding up in full guard. Moments later, Jacobson is trapped in an armbar as Robbins climbs her legs up to frame the maneuver. Robbins goes belly down and extends the arm, and after appearing to be in complete control seconds earlier, Jacobson is forced to verbally submit.

Alexa Conners vs. Katharina Lehner

Round 1

Lehner is the aggressor early as Conners tries to use her jab to control distance. Lehner is landing the heavier shots in exchanges early. Lehner’s face is already reddened from absorbing jabs, but she’s landing more than her share of punches. A Conners uppercut gets through. Lehner continues to force the action throwing combinations. Lehner lands some short uppercuts before clinching. Lehner steps back and lands a pair of uppercuts. Lehner attacks with the jab and lands several. An uppercut left-elbow combination briefly rocks Conners, but she recovers quickly. A right hand from Lehner makes Conners grimace. Conners stumbles after absorbing some more knees and punches, and Lehner ties up her foe. They break and Lehner lands a right hand, a kick to the body and several uppercuts. Conners is in total defense mode now, and finally a left hand behind the ear from Lehner drops her opponent to the canvas and this one is all over.

Janaisa Morandin vs. Livia Renata Souza

Round 1

Morandin lands a right hand, and Souza waves it off. Another right hand from Morandin lands and she follows up with a combination. Souza circles away from the fence. Souza has had enough and drops for a takedown. Souza lands ground-and-pound inside Morandin’s full guard. She stands briefly, then dives back into guard. The former champion passes to half huard and tries to trap the right arm or Morandin, who is able to free her limb. Souza works the body of Morandin with left hands. Morandin creates some room and gets to her feet, but Souza ties her up near the fence. She drags Morandin down with a body lock and winds up in full mount. Morandin sweeps but Souza is able to scramble and stay on top. Morandin recovers guard. Souza postures up to land some big shots and nearly gets trapped in an armbar. She escapes and drops some more heavy leather. Souza tries to lock in a north-south choke following a scramble but the bell sounds. 10-9 Souza.

Round 2

Morandin throws a big overhand right then pressures with a one-two combo. Morandin lands another right when Souza tries to close the distance. Souza shoots for a takedown and Morandin sprawls. Souza is able to get her foe down on the second effort. Souza stands and lands a flurry before Morandin returns to her feet. Souza ties Morandin up and drives for a takedown. She ultimately accomplishes her goal with a throw. Souza frames an arm-triangle choke but she is tied up in Morandin’s full guard. A standup is ordered, perhaps prematurely. Morandin pressures, sprawls on a takedown and throws a knee. Souza gets the takedown moments later, and Morandin attempts to climb her legs up for a triangle. Souza lands two right ands, and Morandin responds with slashing elbows from her back, as her foe’s head is trapped. The triangle is tighter as time winds down, and Morandin lands a couple more elbows before the end of the period. 10-9 Morandin.

Round 3

Souza lands a couple right hands at the outset. Morandin lands a kick to the body and works the head and body with a punching combination. Souza absorbs some blows and tries to change levels, but Morandin defends it well. A couple Souza jabs land. A right hand from Morandin lands in an exchange. Morandin attacks against the fence, but aggression allows Souza to get a takedown. Souza is working from her adversary’s full guard with 3:00 to go. Souza passes to side control and Morandin pushes off the cage to try and escape. Souza remains heavy on top, however, and she clears to side control again and lands short right hands. Morandin is climbing her legs up the fence, and she recovers full guard. Souza remains busy with ground-and-pound. Morandin ties up Souza’s head. Souza frees herself, stands and dives back into guard. “The Brazilian Gangster” continues to pepper Morandin with shots from above. Morandin fights back with punches and elbows from her back as the bell signals the end of the bout. 10-9 Souza (29-28 Souza).

Raquel Pa'aluhi vs. Yana Kunitskaya

Round 1

Pa’aluhi shoots for a takedown and the bantamweights tie up in the center of the cage. Kunitskaya takes control and lands short punches to the side of her opponent’s head. Pa’aluhi tries to time a knee from the Russian for a takedown, but Kunitskaya defends. Kunitskaya is landing knees and short punches in the clinch. Pa’aluhi again tries to time one of the knees for a takedown, but again it fails. Kunitskaya maintains pressure and keeps Pa’aluhi’s back against the fence. They separate with about 1:30 to go, and Kunitskaya lands a left. Kunitskaya lands a leg kick and the Hawaiian answers with a left. Pa’aluhi lands a takedown. She eats an upkick after standing before diving into guard. Pa’aluhisteps into full mount, but Kunitskaya quickly reverses into top position and the round ends. 10-9 Kunitskaya.

Round 2

Kunitskaya drives Pa’aluhi back with a front kick. A right hand from the Hawaiian lands. They exchange and Pa’aluhi forces the clinch. Kunitskaya again takes control and turns her foe into the fence. The Russian lands a combination on the break. Pa’aluhi catches a front kick from Kunitskaya, but she can’t get her opponent donw. They’re back in the clinch. Pa’aluhi lands a knee with her back to the fence, so Kunitskaya breaks away and connects with a two-punch combo. Kunitskaya is back to smothering Pa’aluhi against the fence, landing effective knees. Pa’aluhi catches a kick but Kunitskaya frees her leg. The Russian lands a spinning kick to the body and follows up with a knee. Pa’aluhi grabs her foe and they end the period in the clinch. 10-9 Kunitskaya.

Round 3

A kick to the body lands by Pa’aluhi. The Hawaiian lands a combination punctuated by a low kick. Pa’aluhi shoots and is denied. Kunitskaya shoves her foe away and lands a left. Kunitskaya lands a knee to the body and backs Pa’aluhi into the fence. They break and the Russian lands a jab. Pa’aluhi comes forward with a body kick. Kunitskaya lands a leg kick and then steps back to avoid a counter. Pa’aluhi goes up high with a kick but it’s blocked. Pa’aluhi shoots but Kunitskaya stuffs it and pushes her opponent into the cage. Kunitskaya lands a knee before they break. Kunitskaya is moving well. She lands a push kick and follow up with a high kick moments later. Pa’aluhi eats an elbow when she grabs her foe’s leg. A spinning back kick to the body lands for Kunitskaya. 10-9 Kunitskaya.

Round 4

Pa’aluhi moves forward but comes up short on a combination. Kunitskaya lands a push kick to the gut. A side kick to the body lands for Kunitskaya. A jab snaps back Pa’aluhi’s head. The Jackson-Wink product is in stalking mode, pumping her jab in Pa’aluhi’s face. Pa’aluhi goes for a takedown and eats a knee before being shoved to the fence. Kunitskaya lands some knees before they move back to the center of the cage. Pa’aluhi again fails on a takedown. Kunitskaya shoves the Hawaiian into the fence and they separate shortly thereafter. Pa’aluhi uses a combination to get deeper on a takedown, but she still can’t get it. Instead, it’s Kunitskaya landing more knees against the fence. Pa’aluhi barrels forward, lands and knee and finally gets her foe down near the fence, but not much time remains in the round. Pa’aluhi lands some punches from side control in the waning seconds. 10-9 Kunitskaya.

Round 5

Pa’aluhi comes out with aggression, recognizing that she’s down on the scorecards. She gets a hold of a leg, but Kunitskaya frees herself. Kunitskaya controls some more clinch action before Pa’aluhi is able to get free. Pa’aluhi fails on a takedown and Kuntiskaya presses her foe into the cage. Pa’aluhi lands some double strikes to the head, but they aren’t particularly damaging. They exchange in space again, and Pa’aluhi changes levels behind a combination. Kunitskaya stuffs it and pulls the Hawaiian’s head down, landing several knees. Pa’aluhi shoves the Russian away and drops for a takedown. Kunitskaya shuts it down and reverses the position. They return to the center of the cage. Pa’aluhi attempts a throw, but Kunitskaya reverses the takedown and stands. Kunitskaya lands a jab. Pa’aluhi continues to try for takedowns even as time winds down. They trade blows in the clinch and return to the space as the fight ends. 10-9 Kunitskaya (50-45 Kunitskaya).
