International Fight Week to Feature Two UFC Events, Hall of Fame Ceremony

The UFC is scaling back its International Fight Week event schedule somewhat, as the Las Vegas-based promotion will hold two events instead of three this summer.

The promotion announced on Saturday that “The Ultimate Fighter 25” finale will take place on Friday, July 7 and that UFC 213 will take place on Saturday July 8. The UFC had previously requested July 6 for a card at a Nevada Athletic Commission meeting last month, but instead of another event, the Hall of Fame induction ceremony will occur on that date.

Both the “TUF 25” finale and UFC 213 will take place at T-Mobile Arena. No fights have been announced for the “TUF 25” finale. Meanwhile, a heavyweight clash between Fabricio Werdum and Alistair Overeem and a welterweight duel pitting Robbie Lawler against Donald Cerrone have been targeted for UFC 213.

International Fight Week begins on July 5 and runs through July 8. A two-day UFC Fan Experience will take place on July 7-8 at Toshiba Plaza and “The Park,” which is an outdoor dining and entertainment district adjacent to T-Mobile Arena. The UFC Fan Experience replaces the UFC Fan Expo, although a release from the promotion still promises “unprecedented access to UFC champions, top-ranked contenders, UFC Hall of Famers, celebrities, legendary fighters and Octagon Girls during meet and great and autograph sessions.”
