Chris Weidman has suffered an injury and will not be able to face Luke Rockhold in the middleweight championship headliner at UFC 199, according to multiple reports.

Talk MMA first brought word of Weidman’s withdrawal via Twitter. The Las Vegas-based promotion is currently seeking a replacement opponent to face Rockhold at UFC 199, which takes place on June 4 at the Forum in Los Angeles. Dominick Cruz will defend his bantamweight strap against Urijah Faber in the co-main event.

Michael Bisping, who is currently on a three-fight winning streak, was quick to offer his services. Bisping lost to Rockhold via second-round submission in November 2014.

Another option could be Ronaldo Souza, who is coming off a lopsided first-round stoppage of Vitor Belfort at UFC 198 this past Saturday. Rockhold took a five-round verdict over Souza under the Strikeforce banner in September 2011.

Rockhold and Weidman first squared off at UFC 194, with the American Kickboxing Academy product handing Weidman the first defeat of his professional career via fourth-round technical knockout.
