A heavyweight showdown between Legacy Fighting Championship titlist Derrick Lewis and undefeated Jack May has been added to UFC on Fox 11.
UFC officials Tuesday announced the booking, which takes place April 19 at Amway Center in Orlando, Fla. The evening’s main card airs live on the Fox Network and is headlined by a heavyweight title eliminator pitting Fabricio Werdum against Travis Browne.
Lewis, 29, has won five of his last six fights, with his only loss in that span coming in a January 2012 no-contest. The Texan has gone 3-0 in the Legacy cage, most recently capturing the organization’s heavyweight title last March in a third-round technical knockout over Ricky Shivers.
May has been perfect in his seven-fight career, notching back-to-back victories in 2013 before stopping Carl Seumanutafa with a first-round head kick last week under the Tachi Palace Fights banner. Six of May’s seven wins have come by form of knockout, and he has been taken past the first round just once as a pro.
