Hacran Dias Says He’s Fighting Cub Swanson at UFC on Fox 19

Hacran Dias will lock horns with Cub Swanson at UFC on Fox 19, according to a post on Dias’ Twitter account.

The Las Vegas-based promotion has yet to make any announcements regarding UFC on Fox 19, which is expected to take place in Tampa, Fla., on April 16. The card will reportedly feature a lightweight showdown between Tony Ferguson and Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Dias enters the matchup on a two-fight winning streak. The Brazilian outpointed Darren Elkins at UFC Fight Night “Machida vs. Dollaway” in December 2014 before earning a split verdict against Levan Makashvili this past June. The 31-year-old is 23-3-1 over the course of a career that began in 2005.

A six-fight winning streak from January 2012 to June 2014 launched Swanson into the featherweight title discussion, but the California native has since dropped back-to-back contests, most recently falling to Max Holloway at UFC on Fox 15. Swanson owns notable wins over the likes of Jeremy Stephens, Dustin Poirier, Charles Oliveira and Ross Pearson.
