Glover Teixeira to Fight Misha Cirkunov at UFC Fight Night 119 in October

The Ultimate Fighting Championship revealed that a pivotal light heavyweight showdown will anchor UFC Fight Night 119 on Oct. 28 in Brazil. Glover Teixeira will go head-to-head with Misha Cirkunov at Ginasio do Ibirapuera in Sao Paulo.

The announcement came during Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 114 “Pettis vs. Moreno” card in Mexico City.

Both Teixeira and Cirkunov need to get back on track as they both suffered losses in their previous outing. Teixeira, who will be fighting in front of his fellow Brazilians, was knocked out in brutal fashion at the hands of Alexander Gustafsson in May while Cirkunov was torched by Volkan Oezdemir in just 28 seconds on the same card.

UFC Fight Night 119 will mark the sixth time the promotion has ventured into Brazil’s most populace city. Additional bouts will be announced in the coming weeks.
