The World Series of Fighting will crown its second champion on Dec. 7 when Georgi Karakhanyan faces Rick Glenn for the inaugural featherweight title at WSOF 7.

WSOF President Ray Sefo verified the booking Wednesday via Twitter following an initial report from AXS TV’s “Inside MMA.”

WSOF 7 takes place at PNE Agrodome in Vancouver, British Columbia, and marks the Las Vegas-based organization’s Canadian debut. The evening’s main card is headlined by a light heavyweight showdown between Anthony Johnson and Mike Kyle and airs live on NBC Sports Network. The prelims stream immediately prior on Sherdog.com.

Karakhanyan, 28, has won eight straight fights since exiting Bellator in 2011, winning the Tachi Palace Fights featherweight belt and then defending it once successfully before taking a split decision from Dream champion Hiroyuki Takaya to close out last year. “Insane” made his WSOF debut on Sept. 14, submitting UFC veteran Waylon Lowe with a guillotine choke at WSOF 5.

Glenn has won 11 of his last 12 bouts, with only a 2011 draw with Bellator and UFC alum Ryan Roberts marring his record in that span. The 24-year-old has been perfect in the WSOF cage thus far, beginning 2013 with a knockout of Alexandre Pimentel before outpointing the previously unbeaten Artur Rofi to earn his crack at the vacant featherweight strap.
