The board has been set for once-beaten Filipino prospect Eduard Folayang and outspoken South Korean import A Sol Kwon.
Folayang tipped the scales at 155.9 pounds for his lightweight battle with Kwon (155) in the One Fighting Championship “Champion vs. Champion” main event on Saturday -- the show will stream live on Sherdog.com at 7 a.m. ET/4 a.m. PT -- at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore. Co-headliners Yoshiyuki Yoshida (174.8) and Phil Baroni (176) also met their contracted weight requirements at Friday’s official weigh-in.

Folayang last appeared at Martial Combat 12 in October, when he posted a unanimous decision over Vuyisile Colossa at the Compass Ballroom at Resorts World Sentosa Convention Centre in Sentosa, Singapore. The 26-year-old Universal Reality Combat Championship welterweight titleholder will enter the One FC headliner on a streak of four consecutive victories. Folayang has secured six of his nine wins by knockout or submission.
Meanwhile, Baroni, one of MMA’s consummate showmen, will aim to build on the momentum of March 25 unanimous decision victory over Nick Nolte at Titan Fighting Championship 17. The victory halted a three-fight losing streak for the 35-year-old “New York Bad Ass.” Baroni has posted more than half (nine) of his 14 professional wins by knockout or technical knockout. His 18-second wipeout of former middleweight champion Dave Menne at UFC 39 remains the centerpiece of many a highlight package.
Yoshida snapped a three-fight skid in July, when he stopped Bellator Fighting Championships veteran Ferrid Kheder on first-round punches under the Fighting Marcou Arena banner in France. The 37-year-old judo black belt, who has trained extensively at Jackson’s Mixed Martial Arts in Albuquerque, N.M., was released by the UFC in 2010 following consecutive defeats to Anthony Johnson and Michael Guymon. Yoshida has delivered 10 of his 12 career wins by knockout, technical knockout or submission.
