Cejudo is coming off back-to-back losses to two-time title challenger Joseph Benavidez and reigning 125-pound king Demetrious Johnson. Prior to that, the Olympic gold medalist had won his first 10 professional bouts, including four in UFC competition.
Pettis, meanwhile, enters the matchup on a three-fight winning streak. The 23-year-old has earned a trio of decisions over John Moraga, Chris Kelades and Chris Cariaso in his last three outings to raise his promotional mark to 6-2.
