Flyweights Ben Nguyen, Wilson Reis to Lock Horns at UFC Fight Night in Adelaide

Ben Nguyen will face Wilson Reis in a flyweight bout at UFC Fight Night 142 in Adelaide on Dec. 1.

Combate was the first to report the pairing. UFC Fight Night 142 takes place at Adelaide Entertainment Center in Australia and will likely air on Fox Sports 1 following early prelims on UFC Fight Pass. A headliner for the card has not been announced.

Nguyen began his Octagon tenure with victories in four of his first five appearances, including finishes of Tim Elliott, Ryan Benoit and Alptekin Ozkilic. Most recently, however, the Integrated MMA product suffered a third round submission defeat to Jussier da Silva at UFC 221 on Feb. 10.

Reis, meanwhile, has lost three in a row, beginning with a lopsided loss to ex-champ Demetrious Johnson in a title bout at UFC on Fox 24. Since then, the 33-year-old Brazilian has also suffered a second-round TKO defeat to Henry Cejudo at UFC 215 and a decision loss to John Moraga at UFC on Fox 29. Reis is 6-5 during his tenure with the Las Vegas-based promotion.
