Mayweather defeated McGregor via 10th round technical knockout in their Aug. 26 bout at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas to improve his professional mark to 50-0. McGregor, the UFC lightweight champion who was competing in his first boxing match, received praise for a performance in which many had him winning several early rounds before fading down the stretch.
After the victory, Mayweather claimed that the fight was indeed his last, although he initially retired following a decision win over Andre Berto in 2015. Meanwhile, it is unclear what McGregor’s next move will be. His last Octagon appearance came at UFC 205 in November, when he claimed the 155-pound title with a stoppage of Eddie Alvarez.
