UFC 205 takes place at Madison Square Garden in New York on Nov. 12 and airs on pay-per-view. The event does not yet have a headliner, but UFC President Dana White will announce the entirety of the card during a press conference at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday, according to the “UFC Tonight”report.
A former lightweight champion, Edgar moved to 145 pounds in 2013 but has twice fallen short in title bids against Jose Aldo. Most recently, “The Answer” dropped a five-round verdict to Aldo in an interim title bout at UFC 200. Edgar is 5-2 in the Octagon overall since moving to featherweight.
Like Edgar, Stephens has also found a home at 145 pounds following a lengthy UFC stint at lightweight. Most recently, “Lil Heathen” welcomed ex-bantamweight champ Renan Barao to the division, taking a unanimous verdict over the Brazilian at UFC Fight Night 88 on May 29.
